He famously ‘wasn’t that bothered’ by The Human Centipede, but did have nightmares about both The Cottage and Planet Terror during a Greek holiday when he ate too much feta. He has a fantastic and lengthy Transformers 2 rant that you probably need to hear, and actually quite likes Alien 3, even though you can’t tell who’s who.

We're still not quite over the whole superhero thing. By the time 2013 rolls along, we'll have a whole new batch of superhero movies. How many, you ask? Well, not quite enough to fill a list-based feature, so we had to pad it out a bit. Still loads, though.

This Must Be The Place

Paolo Sorrentino's last film, Il Divo, was a tour-de-force, an inventive, intelligent and witty semi-biopic of Italian political titan Giulio Andreotti that took Cannes by storm. The follow up is also intelligent, witty and inventive. It's also deeply irritating, uneven and unlikeable. Shame.

Red Light Revolution

China's attitude to freedom of information is almost whimsically brutal. They banned Wikipedia way before Wikipedia made it cool to ban Wikipedia. So it's hardly surprising that they're trying to bury this comedy about their massive sex toy industry. Luckily for us, it's being screened throughout England. But are we so lucky?
