Sebastian Gutierrez is currently studying to become an actor, or writer, or both. When he’s not doing these things he’s being a movie addict like the rest of us. Intriguingly, Sebastian has a self-confessed love of Joseph Gordon-Levitt to the point of being Jo-Gosexual. We at Best For Film respect this. We’ve been lovingly eyeballing Ryan Reynolds’ torso career for years.

We love Sebastian’s blog because he’s relaxed, regular (hang on. That makes him sound like a poo) and does appealing mash-ups of real life shenanigans, eclectic film reviews and supermassively fun how-to guides providing valuable life lessons based on teachings from the movies. Stuff like How To Accept Your Fate In A Serial Killer Film, Why The Infected Hate Eyeballs and The Transporting Power of the Musical Number. It’s like school, but with more life-changing knowledge. It’s like the Bible, except the action doesn’t flag in the second half.

One of the really great things about Films from the Supermassive Black Hole is its fun sense of community. It’s easy to get addicted to Cinematic Captions, a section full of pictures from the movies that encourage you to leave your own captions – which then get voted on via a state-of-the-art leaderboard. Browse through the gallery at your leisure, leave a caption and enjoy everyone else’s.

Films from the Supermassive Black Hole, we salute you!
