The latest Battleship trailer has been released, and it’s pretty much the same as the first 2 trailers. It contains the the usual brain-numbing explosions, heavy electric guitar twangs and shots of bewildered Naval sailors saying generic things like ‘My God’, and ‘We’re not going down without a fight’. However, this trailer also throws in some robots seemingly intent on the destruction of mankind.

It all looks very flashy and noise-based will probably be enough to get the shell-shocked fans of Michael Bay-esque blockbusters quivering with anticipation. For us desperately refined folk here at BFF however, it looks like an easy, brainless cash-in on a frankly shit board game. But with Rihanna. Which somehow makes everything so much worse.
