The Texas Chainsaw Massacre is back… again.

Just when you thought there wasn’t any flesh left in this franchise to shave off and wear, out comes news of another sequel. Twisted Pictures have apparently been planning a seventh (yep, seventh) outing for Leatherface for a while now, and have finally settled on writers Adam Marcus and Debra Sullivan to pen a script.

So, what’s the story this time? It will pick up 35 years after the original, and will apparently see an entire new set of relatives enter the skin-wearing fold. Producer Mark Burg said last year that “There will be some relatives, some new people. There’s still the subtext of ‘are they eating these people?’ The whole idea of cannibalism, we’re bringing it back.”

So, an innocent group of people stumble fatefully into a cannibal den and struggle to get out alive? You do have to marvel at the originality…
