Always keen to please, us lovely folks at BFF have collaborated a Top 10 list of the best horror films we think will be worth crapping your pants for this year. And with Texas Chainsaw 3D thoroughly shoved under the carpet forever, we can start with some decent horrors. Sadly, Jesus Hates Zombies didn’t make the cutting. So what did?

Take a deep breath and prepare yourself for an exhaustive year of EPIC action films. 2012 is the official year of explosive sequels, daring superheroes and hardcore fairy tales. Just make sure you have an oxygen tank nearby.

This summer, you can hardly move for superhero films – and Green Lantern aside, we’ve seen most of the stars before. All the classic heroes have had a fair few outings with different faces by now, and if there’s one thing we hate about competition it’s not knowing who’s the WINNER. Feel like arbitrarily deciding whether Michael Keaton’s better at being grumpy than Christian Bale? Good.

Wednesday! Lemons! X-Men! Oranges! McAvoy! Oranges! Fassbender! Lemons! Half price! Citrus! Other films! Maybe! X-MEN! We really are quite excited, you know.

We’re so easily placated…

I don’t know about you, but we’re hoping for really crummy weather this summer. Rain, sleet, fog and whatever else God’s got in his “let’s piss them right off” bag; it’s the only way that we won’t feel guilty about spending the entire time at the cinema. A lot of heavy hitters are coming our way in summer 2011, so give up on your tan (lets be honest, you’ve been a lost cause from the start) and throw away any sunny specs that aren’t 3D compatible – it’s cinema summer checklist time.
