  • Odeon Reverses Alice Boycott!

    In a shocking U-Turn, Odeon cinemas have decided to reverse the boycott of Burton’s Alice In Wonderland they announced earlier in the week. A battle has been raging between UK distibutors and Disney for the last couple of weeks, and with this final news, it looks like there’s no defeating the House Of Mouse.



  • Cineworld Backs Away From Alice Boycott

    After a week of back and forth between the UK film distributors and Disney about whether the big cinemas will show Alice In Wonderland, it seems that Cineworld has broken ranks with the UK’s other major exhibitors. They have announced today that despite their argument with Disney, they will show the Burton epic after all. It seems that you just can’t take on the mouse-house.


  • European Cinemas threaten To Join Alice Boycott

    Last week we reported that UK cinemas are considering a boycott of Tim Burton’s Alice In Wonderland because of an argument over the length of cinema release in relation to the DVD release. Now it seems that Holland’s four largest exhibitors are reportedly threatening not to show Alice unless Disney backs down.

With a stellar cast (most of Brits – huzzah!) and Burton’s trademark madcap imagination, this is one blockbuster we’re actually really rather looking forward to.
