  • Yogi Bear

If you’re looking for some kind of ‘bears shit in the woods’ joke, you’re going to have to go elsewhere. Yogi Bear is re-interpreted in this 3D CGI feature, a below-average kids film that is somewhat redeemed by its cute moral tale about the environment. Save the world, man.

  • Metalocalypse – Season 2 – DVD

Another short-cartoon series from the people at Adult Swim, Metalocalypse is just as odd as you might expect. Playing like This Is Spinal Tap crossed with the most violent comic book you’ve ever read, it is simultaneously a celebration and send-up of heavy metal culture. Utilising an approach that is both daft and darker than coal, the series showcases not just the idiocy of its protagonists – petulant death metal band, Dethklok – but also the widest array of horrific concepts you’re ever likely to see. What’s worse; a man who eats live babies, or an irresponsible metal band running amok? Watching this DVD may be the only way to find out.

Disney has decided to adapt their glorious 90s cartoon series Gargolyes into a feature-film, and frankly, we’ve never felt more knowledgable (who’s life is pointless now, mum?)

Having conquered the small screen, it seems that Family Guy creator Seth McFarlane has turned his attention to the big screen with his upcoming debut movie, Ted. Described as a “Hard R” comedy about a man and his teddy bear (yes ladies and gentlemen, you read that right), Ted is rumoured to be a live-action meets CGI movie in the vein of Alvin and the Chipmunks (except miles, miles better of course).
