Whether you’re quivering with excitement or sick of the whole damn thing, you can’t help but admire team Shrek for their punning persistance. A few weeks ago we reported that Dreamworks had released four new posters for their upcoming Shrek 4, each baring inspiring tag-lines such as “where ma witches at?” and “it aint ogre till its ogre”. For all those out there crying “more! More!”, we’re happy to provide
OK, we’ve been promised that this time, this time, is the final venture out into the world of Toy Story 3 marketing before the film hits us this summer. Admittedly, team Pixar have dragged out this campaign for as long as they possibly could, drip feeding us pictures of new characters, posters and little hints as to possible story for months now. The most infuriating thing is that… we bloody love it.
And they’re pun-tastic. Which, frankly, is all we ever really want from our ogre-based entertainment. In the wake of the massive marketing push for Toy Story 3, it’s almost easy to forget that Shrek 4 is also nudging ever closer to our screens, albeit in a slightly less noisy way. The story, as far as we can tell, will follow Shrek making a Faustian pact with Rumplestiltskin, to see what life would be life if Shrek never existed.
