The Buffy reboot is happening, and while we think this bites the time has come (I think there was a memo) to give up on objectivity. As such, may I present Best or Film’s completely subjective guide to who might make a half-decent vampire slayer. Should you be a true Whedonite the following list will seem insane, controversial and completely without fruit. The harsh reality is, however, Natalie Portman is probably busy and Megan Fox is a much likelier choice even if she wasn’t, anyway. It’s like a whole big sucking thing, and this is the best we could do.
When it was first announced that David Fincher, best known for such meditations on violence as Seven and Fight Club, had taken up directorial reins on a film about the founding of Facebook, it’s fair to say that some film fans found themselves confused. Why had Fincher attached himself to such a potential snoozefest? Well, now we have the answer. A beautifully acted character study, it asks real questions about the nature of business, friendship and loyalty – and we don’t just mean online.
David Fincher continues building his Girl With the Dragon Tattoo army with the decision to cast Christopher Plummer as the film’s catalyst Henrik Vagner. Bit of Plummer in the morning? Don’t mind if we do…
It has been confirmed that 007 will play journalist Mikael Blomkvist in David Fincher’s American adaptation of The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo.
