Justin Timberlake started out on a TV talent show like all the rest of them, but has gone on to make boy bands what they are today, become one of the most commercially successful singers in the world and star in some Hollywood movies, like Friends With Benefits which is out September 9. Oh, and he runs a record label, owns his own fashion brand, a couple of restaurants and his own brand of tequila.

Good films are our favourite kind of films, and it’s pretty hard to make a good film out of a rubbish script. As a result, most good films have pretty good scripts. But sometimes, even in the very best films, there are lines so arse-shatteringly dreadful that they cause nearby birds to explode. Here’s some of those.

God, things are sexy, aren’t they? So many things that there are, and all of them sexy. Baths, cooking, pithy conversations in a descending elevator – all you need is Anne Hathaway, some improbably witty back and forth with a chiselled titaniMAN, and boom – fruitful flesh-grappling is in the air. Except, of course, that it never is. Not really.

Expect a sweeping, dusty, realist account of Depression era America.

Holy Rollers, the true(ish) story of young Hasidic Jews conned into smuggling Ecstasy into the USA in the late nineties, stars a pre-Social Network Jesse Eisenberg and deserves to be better than it is. You’ll certainly enjoy the snappy script and engrossing main plot, but once things get complicated it feels a little empty.

And the award for Best Unsurprised Face goes to Best For Film.

“Tease me, tease me, tease me, tease me baby.” Enough of cheesy lyrics from old (but well loved songs), teaser trailers are awesome right? The best ones give you inkling of the film without spoiling it, they set the mood and make you excited for awesomeness (or rubbishness) that’s about to come.
