Al Pacino film prompts walkout at Sundance

The 2011 Sundance film festival can breathe a sigh of relief; the worst is over after a mass walkout of The Son of No-One on Monday. The crime drama was directed by Dito Montiel, creating hype due to performances in it by Al Pacino, Juliette Binoche, Ray Liotta, Katie Holmes and Channing Tatum. Screened to mostly executives, the walkout was of such endemic proportions that it was likened to an ‘exodus.’

According to Reuters, one person attempted to start a slow hand clap as the lights came on, which would be funny if it wasn’t so painfully sad.
