Penelope Cruz to re-team with Woody Allen

It’s all sounding very hush hush at the moment, but we can confirm that the lovely Penelope Cruz is set to begin a new project with Woody Allen. The two collaborated in 2008 in Vicky Cristina Barcelona; a film that won Ms Cruz an Oscar for Best Supporting Actress and presumably won Woody Allen many hours staring at Penelope Cruz. Good news all round.

When asked about her next project, Cruz told Entertainment Weekly

“I know [what I’m doing next], but the thing is that I have to ask the director what I can say and what I cannot say. It’s a movie with Woody Allen. But I really cannot say anything about the story or the characters.”

Allen has recently announced that his next project will be filmed in Rome, so using our MASSIVE BRAINS we may justifiably deduce that we could be watching Penelope Cruz’s lovely hair rush past the Colosseum in a CINEMA NEAR US. But can Woody Allen return to form after the rather damn squib that was You Will Meet A Tall Dark Stranger? You tell us…
