Tobey Maguire joins cast of Labor Day

No more zombie movies to make? Nope? Then let’s adapt another novel for screen instead then. That should keep everyone happy.

The novel in question this time is Joyce Maynard’s Labor Day which will also star Kate Winslet, Josh Brolin and Gattlin Griffith. The story is about a young boy called Henry (Griffith) who lives a secluded life with his depressed mum, Adele (Winslet), who rarely leaves the house and is harbouring a deep, dark secret. One day Harry and Adele pick up a stranger (Brolin) who turns out to be an escaped convict and help to hide him from the police. Over the course of the five days before Labor Day (celebrated around the first Monday in September) Henry learns many life lessons from the stranger whilst also coming to know all about jealousy, betrayal and passion.

So everyone looking for an Academy Award then? It certainly sounds like it. We are also pretty sure that at some point along the way Kate Winslet will get her kit off. The book has been adapted by Jason Reitman, who is also directing the project and is no stranger to the Academy Awards after being nominated already for two projects in previous years for Up in the Air and Juno.

Tobey Maguire will be narrating the film as the grown up Henry and will also appear in a few later scenes. Still, we are exciting to see Maguire as Nick Carraway in Baz Luhrmann’s adaptation of The Great Gatsby so hopefully he will bring some the skills learnt from that set over to this project. http://credit-n.ru/vklady.html http://credit-n.ru/offers-zaim/ezaem-zaim-online-za-15-minut.html
