Vaughn talks X-men prequel sequel

Matthew Vaughn is already thinking about a sequel to X-men: First Class.

In an interview for Hot Flix he went as far as to give away a possible beginning to the next film. He has clearly really enjoyed making these films and is excited by the idea of another.

When asked if he would like to do another, Vaughn said: “yeah, definitely. I really loved working with them, and with Michael [Fassbender] and James [McAvoy], the chemistry was really lovely.

“I thought it would be fun to open with the Kennedy assassination”, he continued, “and we reveal that the magic bullet was controlled by Magneto. That would explain the physics of it, and we see that he’s pissed off because Kennedy took all the credit for saving the world and mutants weren’t even mentioned.”

Now that’s an opening. We haven’t even seen the first film yet, but early signs suggest it’s a goodun. It looks like this may kick-start another mutant revolution.
