  • More X-Men: First Class casting

    With James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Nicholas Hoult, Jennifer Lawrence and Kevin Bacon lining up to take a turn in X-Men: First Class, we’re beginning to feel exceedingly spoilt. And now, according to the latest developments, actress Rose Byrne will also be singing in the mutant chorus; playing brain-box Moira Mactaggert.




  • James McAvoy to play young Xavier

    Whew. This is one prequel that’s getting some serious weight behind it. Last month we reported that X-Men: First Class would be directed and written by the Kick-Ass team Matthew Vaughn and Jane Goldman, and today it’s been confirmed that Brit star James McAvoy has climed on-board as the young Chales Xavier (originally played by Patrick Stewart).


  • The Last Station

    It’s easy to appreciate creative genius, but it must be hell to live with it. Based on the novel by Jan Parini, The Last Station is a love story set during the final year of Russian writer Leo Tolstoy’s life, focusing on the terrible strain borne by his wife, the Countess. Unable to live together under the same roof without descending into spiteful bickering, yet unwilling to live apart because of their deep love, the elderly couple plays out these final months against a backdrop of political intrigue.
