The casting for Marc Webb’s Spider-Man reboot continues, with Martin Sheen in negotiations to play our hero’s Uncle Ben and double Oscar winner Sally Field in talks for the role of Aunt May.

Just two days ago, we at Best For Film reported that Mr. Nice himself, Rhys Ifans (no, not Howard Marks), had been cast as a villain in Marc Webb’s upcoming Spider-Man reboot, but has the identity of his character now slithered into the open?

Despite currently starring as Mr. Nice, Rhys Ifans is set to become anything but when he takes on the role of bad guy in Marc Webb’s upcoming Spider-Man reboot.

Just two days ago we reported that Emma Stone was being rumoured for the role of Mary Jane Watson in the upcoming Spider-Man reboot, leaving the role of primary love interest, Gwen Stacy, up for grabs. Well, it seems those rumours were wrong; Emma Stone will not be playing Mary Jane Watson. She will, however, be playing Gwen Stacy! Does that make sense? Our brains hurt.
