There’s no doubt about it; cinema ain’t what it used to be. What with new and improved seating, 3D films assaulting your retinas and more snacks then you can shake your expanding belly at, going to the flicks has become somewhat different to that of our forefathers. So who’s for an extra-crispy, oven-roasted, honey-glazed, menagerie of cinema with extra sprinkles, all topped with a quails egg?
Is it cold in here? Nope, the heating’s on full. Oh, that’s strange. Maybe it’s just the news that Goosebumps is set to be made into a film. Chilling.
Paramount is going ahead with a Paranormal Activity sequel. Seemingly deaf to the film world’s exclamations that the only reason why the first one worked was because it had a 50 quid budget and wasn’t at all commercialised, the studio now has a definite director attached to the sequel, and plans to release it just before Halloween 2011.
Here at BestForFilm, it’s rare for us to simultaneously dread and really look forward to a film. But that, sadly, is the unenviably position we find ourselves in when confronted with Night of the Living Dead: Origins.
