The two Winchester brothers, Sam and Dean (Jared Padalecki and Jensen Ackles), give new meaning to the concept of “road trip.” Driving Dean’s trademark black Impala, they continue the “family business” of pursuing supernatural bad guys across the country.

In season five, the two brothers and one fallen angel battle hell on earth in the form of Satan himself and his army. The apocalypse is coming, Earth is the battlefield, and all of humanity will suffer the wrath of Lucifer. Dean and Sam battle the four horsemen, demons and angels as they confront the reality that each of them has a terrible role to play in an unraveling plot that was written aeons ago.

Other fifth series castmembers include Jim Beaver, Samantha Ferris, Alona Tal, Misha Collins, Kurt Fuller, and Mark Pellegrino.

The fifth season has just been released on DVD and all 22 action-packed episodes are included on six discs. Extras include featurettes, webisodes of Ghostfacers, commentaries, and a gag reel.
