Studio Ghibli, the company responsible for wonderful animations such as Spirited Away, Howl’s Moving Castle and Ponyo have revealed a teaser trailer for their newest creation; Borrower Arrietty. And, once again, it looks rather freakin beautiful.

Borrower Arreitty is based on the classic Borrowers books by Mary Norton and follows the story of a teeny tiny girl in a big person world. Directed by key Princess Mononoke animator Hiromasa Yonebayashi, and written by Ghibli honcho Hayao Miyazaki himself, The Borrower Arrietty follows the minature 14-year-old girl Arrietty who lives by borrowing from the human inhabitants of the house she and her family live in. All is well for this pint-size troupe, until Arreitty is discovered by one of the humans.

The trailer below has Japanese subtitles, so there’s no real way of knowing what in the name of trousers they’re talking about. But hey, it’s Studio Ghibli. It’s too pretty to matter.
