Now that director Zach Snyder and producer Chris Nolan can relax, having cast their Superman, they’re free to put their feet up and sniff around for supporting cast. And we’ve got two words for you. Kevin Costner.

The interweb is buzzing with rumours that Costner has been approached with a role offer in the new Superman flick Man of Steel, though no-one seems completely sure which part is going his way. For our money, we’d be willing to bet on Clark Kent’s all-American, golden jawed adoptive father – Jonathan Kent. It seems like that’s the role that would fit the easy charms of Costner best, right? Is the world ready for a Costner revival? Hell yes it is.
