Well, his comic-book might be, at least. Word is that Mark Hamill – that’s right, aka Luke bloody Skywalker – is finally going to have his face back in the media by adapting his comic-book series The Black Pearl for the big screen.

This wont be le Hamill’s first foray into the world of film direction, as he helmed Comic Book: The Movie back in 2004. This is, however, a project that will be very close to his heart as he originally planned the comic to be a film back 14 years ago, but it got shelved cos of funding problems. So what’s the story? Apparently The Black Pearl follows average everyman Luther Drake who turns into a “media sensation” when he saves a woman from abduction, and turns into a vigilante. Fairly standard stuff then, but it could be that Hamill’s Star Wars status make this an interesting one to keep an eye on…
