Wondering what to fill your days with in 2012? We recommend some light viewing, considering the world will probably be over then. Here are our best and worst for next year. Prepare to be angry, then a little happy, then quite confused, and then happy again.

Take a deep breath and prepare yourself for an exhaustive year of EPIC action films. 2012 is the official year of explosive sequels, daring superheroes and hardcore fairy tales. Just make sure you have an oxygen tank nearby.

Anton Yelchin, Imogen Poots and David Tennant grab their stakes and stock up on holy water ready to do away with a vampiric Colin Farrell in Craig Gillespie’s re-imagining of of 1985’s Fright Night. Yes it’s another vampire film, yes it’s another remake and yes, Chrisopher Mintz-Plasse only has that one character, but come on, how often do you get to see Doctor Who in leather trousers?

You know what we enjoy doing? Going to the future. We also enjoy going back to the future, but we gotten into copyright problems with that before. The point is, we’ve risked life and limb to discover what films are hitting our screens in upcoming weeks. Don’t ask us how we’ve done it. All we’ll say is that the Wikipedia Towers of the future are a terrifying and overly bear-guarded place.
