Following great DVD sales in the US, it’s beginning to look more and more likely that a sequel to the glorious Kick Ass will soon get off the ground. Though the films makers have yet to comment, the comic’s writer Mark Millar told radio 5 that the film is officially on.

Ye-Ha! Legendary Hollywood superstar Harrison Ford and director Jon Favreau (him who’s directing the Iron Man 2 movie coming out later this year) are teaming up to make Cowboys and Aliens, an adaptation of a graphic novel by comic book writer Scott Mitchell Rosenberg.

Hugo Weaving, who exploded onto our screens as Agent Smith in The Matrix, is set to play The Red Skull in the upcoming superhero epic. For those who don’t know the comic or the planned adaptation, The Red Skull is the Captain’s archenemy, the saboteur and spy who worked as Hitler’s right-hand man. It sounds like the two will be battling during World War Two, ending up in modern times due to their Super Solider status. For those who didn’t understand that, well done. You are not as geeky as us.
