Karl Zwicky, the guy who brought you Farscape, has doubled our joy (as if we needed even more joy at Best For Film Towers) to bring you an exciting re-imagining of Greek myths and Arabic folk tales spliced together. SINBAD! THE MINOTAUR! TOGETHER IN THE SAME FILM! We are totally stoked. Make the magic happen for us, Zwicky-boy!

Starring Manu Bennett (Spartacus: Blood And Sand; 30 Days Of Night) and Steven Grives (Mission: Impossible), Sinbad And The Minotaur takes our favourite bare-chested sailor on a fun, irreverent romp into ‘Hercules: The Legendary Journeys’ and ‘Xena: Warrior Princess’ territory as he sets out to claim the long-lost gold of the gods. Ooh, bad boy! Better not let the Minotaur find out about it…

The plot? Sinbad, kidnapped hottie princess Tara and a bunch of Sinbad’s best mates have a million adventures when they encounter a weird island with off-putting locals and a terrible secret…

If you’re looking for adventure, special effects, bare torsos, derring-do and boobie traps… and minotaurs… this is a riotous romp of a movie that will please you mightily. Go on – enjoy every glorious minute of it. You know you want to!

Sinbad And The Minotaur (cert. 12) will be released on DVD (£12.99) by Chelsea Films on 7th February 2011.
