Dear old James Cameron is never out of our news section for long, whether its “AVATAR VOTED NEW BEST THING EVER”, “AVATAR VOTE RE-COUNT REVEALS ITS NOT BEST THING EVER”, “JAMES CAMERON CONTESTS ENTIRE VOTING SYSTEM” or “WEBSITE BLOCKED FOR USING ALL CAPS”. This time however, it seems we’re moving forward. And underwater.

New images are now online for his next project, 3D underwater saga Sanctum. Take a look at the just-released poster:

According to the official synposis, Sanctum “follows a team of underwater cave divers on a treacherous expedition to the largest, most beautiful and least accessible cave system on Earth. When a tropical storm forces them deep into the caverns, they must fight raging water, deadly terrain and creeping panic as they search for an unknown escape route to the sea.”

No doubt it will be at least as beautiful as Avatar, the question this time around is will the story match the medium? We’ve got until Feb 4th to find out…
