The drip-feed of vague Prometheus noises continues apace! A couple of weeks ago we got some first stills from the Ridley Scott’s Alien prequel/non-prequel/”it’s from the same DNA as…”, and now we can reveal the first poster. Hurrah! It’s got our old friend Mr Stoneyface front and centre, and isn’t afraid of showing its Alien heritage with a classic ‘glowy faces in space’ motif reminiscent from the original’s marketing.

Centring on an intrepid (and aethetically brilliant) team of space rangers, Prometheus will explore what happens when mankind gets too close to discovering its origins… or something. We’re just going to list the cast again, because thinking about it makes us so happy. Michael Fassbender, Noomi Rapace, Idris Elba and Charlize Theron. In space, no-one can hear our cries of anticipation. We’ve got till the 1st June to wait, oxygen-free fans…
