An exclusive gala screening of The Iron Lady is set to take place on Thursday 15th December at Manchester Town Hall, and we, lucky dogs that we are, have tickets to give away. The historic and beautiful Manchester Town Hall – one of the settings for the film’s key Houses Of Parliment scenes – is the perfect place to watch one of the most hotly anticipated films of the year, and your only chance to see Meryl Streep as Maggie Thatcher a full month before the rest of the viewing public!

Academy Award winners Meryl Streep (Margaret Thatcher) and Jim Broadbent (Denis Thatcher) star in the upcoming biopic of one of history’s once controversial leaders: a compelling story of a woman who battled through the barriers of gender and class to be heard in a male-dominated world. The Iron Lady explores power and the price you pay for it, revealing a surprising and intimate portrait of an extraordinary and complex woman.

The event is the latest in Volkswagen’s ‘See Film Differently’ series, designed to provide film fans with a behind the scenes style insight into some of the most exciting and iconic British films, old and new.
