Robb Stark – aka auburn-haired Scottish delight Richard Madden (such a strong, manly name *sigh*) – has OFFICIALLY signed up to play Prince Charming in Kenneth Branagh’s upcoming live action film of Cinderella (hardly a leap for him, amirite ladies and gay gentlemen? HIGH FIVE!). Already cast as the titular princess is Lily James – NOT to be confused with eyebrow monster Lily Collins. James mostly spends her days dicking around in Downton Abbey, while Madden – as we all know – is winning the hearts of everyone from Qarth to the Iron Islands as the super dreamy Robb Stark in Game of Thrones. Also exciting (but not as exciting as Robb Stark WOULD YOU LOOK AT THAT HAIR) is that, as we reported a while back, Cate Blanchett will be playing Cindy’s villainous stepmother Lady Tremaine.

All in all, this sounds like a promising project. Richard Madden is seriously good in Game of Thrones (we’re not just saying that) and Cate Blanchett will obviously be great. The only question is, are we going to be seeing Robb Stark Naked? COME ON BRANAGH. DON’T LET US DOWN LIKE YOU LET DOWN MARY SHELLEY WITH THAT FRANKENSTEIN FILM. Just look at this, for crying out loud:

Cinderella should begin filming this Autumn, with a release slated for next year. Will you be watching?
