Quick! Think of a game on the Nintendo DS that needs to be made into a big budget movie! If you said Scribblenauts, then I’m afraid you’re in for a bit of a disappointment. If, however, you started salivating at the thought of a movie based on hit court-em-up series Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney, then have we got a treat for you.

Takashi Miike, director of such ultraviolent classics as Audition and Ichi the Killer, is apparently trading in his needles and razorwire for a gavel and… bizarre neck thing that Japanese lawyers wear (apparently?).

Anyway, the point is this movie looks insane. Check out the trailer: it literally looks like an action movie fought with words (and occasionally floating glow-screens). Oh, and 20 points to anyone who can spot his signature “OBJECTION!”
