Since we met the Griswolds 30 years ago, the cast of this legendary all-American family have gone out to explore on their own adventures in the world of acting. From having success in the music charts, to starring in hit TV shows such as The Big Bang Theory and even becoming another of Hollywood’s most famous embarrassing fathers, the original cast from The Ultimate Vacation Collection, out now on Blu-Ray for the first time, is still very much alive and kicking!
Pedro Almodóvar’s new film Los Amantes Pasajeros, or I’m So Excited to us English-speaking jerks, is officially out in cinemas everyone! It’s obviously going to be totally weird because it’s by Pedro Almodóvar. Did you guys see that movie, The Skin I Live In? WHAT WAS THAT? Anyway, this film is more or less The Skin I Live In On a Plane. More importantly, though, the film shares its English title with a very famous song by The Pointer Sisters, which got us thinking: what other films out there have famous songs for titles? Turns out, loads. Because nothing in this wretched world is original.
The reunion we’ve all been waiting for.
Astro Boy is the classic tale of a young boy trying to get along with what life gives him. Making friends, getting by and generally having a good old time, he’s just like you and me. The only difference is that this kid is a robot. And people want to kill the death out of him. It’s a futuristic Pinnocchio-inspired CGI romp, and whilst it has a lot to recommend it, ultimately there’s not a lot of human heart beating behind it.
