The day that turkeys develop the ability to wield knives, the human race is doomed. World War T?
What do The Muppets, Ali G and Flight Of The Conchords all have in common? Apart from the occasional bit of humourous racism, we mean? Why the STICKY TOUCH of James Bobin, of course! Co-creator of Sacha Baron Cohen’s most famous character, creative brain behind the Conchords’ TV success and director of The Muppets – how on earth has this bloke stayed under our radar for so long? Probably the racist stuff, to be honest. CHEAT SHEET!
Yesterday we reported that Alec Baldwin may be set to join upcoming threequel, Men in Black III. Are Tamara Drewe star Gemma Arterton and District 9‘s Sharlto Copley set to follow suit?
Though we know from somewhere deep within the dangers of getting too excited about Men In Black 3, our bruised little hearts just can’t help beating a little faster whenever we hear it mentioned. Steve Carell and Paul Rudd don’t so much star as blackhole in Dinner For Schmucks; a deeply unfunny comedy so stupid it makes Kenan And Kel look like The Importance Of Being Earnest. An army of talented cameos only highlight the ludicrous, all-encompassing foulness of this creation, and the only reason it scrapes a half-star is that Flight Of The Conchord’s Jermaine Clement manages to steer clear of the worst bits as a vaguely amusing goat/artist.
