Despite its high-octane NEESON WOLVES NEESON WOLVES NEESON NEESON WOLVES trailer, The Grey isn’t actually about wolves. Not really. There are wolves in it, sure, but they’re what the film is about in the same sort of way that King Kong is about Jack Black. Which is probably why it’s really rather good.
The stars of new movie The A-Team turned out in style on the red carpet last night for the premiere at Leicester Square. The cast defended the film against criticism that it doesn’t match up to the ‘fun and family entertainment’ of the original 1980s TV series on which it is based.
Joe Carnahan has released posters of the new A Team. At last we have the chance to see who will be playing Murdoch, Mr T and all your other favourite A Team members. The posters look amazing, but fear not you A Team traditionalists – there is even talk of the original A Team members having cameo appearances in the new A Team movie.
Last week we expressed our cautious trepidation about the new A-Team film starring – amongst others – Liam Neeson as Hannibal and District 9‘s Sharlto Copley as “Howlin’ Mad” Murdoch.
2009 certainly brought us a few cinematic corkers, from sci-fi epic Avatar to comic-book crunching goodness from Christopher Nolan’s The Dark Knight and Watchmen. But it wasn’t all wham, bam and explosions – will 2010 be a year of smarter movies? Judging this list… maybe.
