Keith Lemon: The Film manages to make The Inbetweeners movie look like a viable candidate for an Academy Award nomination for Best Picture. It doesn’t matter how many times Kelly Brook shows off her curves in her underwear (which is many), how many ill-advised celebrity cameos there are (also many) or how often Leigh Francis attempts to tickle our funny bones with a badly-timed fart joke (seriously?), there is absolutely nothing that can stop this film from being dubbed unwatchable.

CGI can be brilliant when placed in the right hands but, as always, with great power comes great responsibility. While most filmmakers can resist the temptation of overdosing on special effects, there’s a few out there who would quite happily shoot themselves up with as much computer imagery as possible and then lie there in a happy stupor, admiring the monsters they have created. We know, we know. You’ve got no realistic intention of seeing Piranha 3D, because it looks like it’ll be an hour and a half of breasts, gore and unconvincing CGI. But somehow, that doesn’t stop it being brilliant.

After the surprise success of Piranha 3D (it’s gotten medium to positive reviews, as well as being rated 83% fresh in the hallowed halls of Rotten Tomatoes), it’s been confirmed that a sequel is on the way. More beautiful and naked flesh being torn asunder? Erm, hurrah?
