  • Baise-Moi

Notorious for scandalising even the French, Baise-Moi fought extremely hard against the label of ‘pornography’ given to it by the certification board. Boasting “prolonged sex scenes of an extremely explicit nature and scenes of graphic violence” and continued bans in many countries, this low-budget sexploitation is known more for its reputation rather than its content. All controversy aside, Baise-Moi is an midly enjoyable, if uneven, feminist punk fantasy.

  • Friday Drinking Game #58 – Self Love

After a long and challenging week it’s finally Friday. The weekend is nigh and it’s the perfect time to indulge in a good old drinking game. But this is not just any old drinking game. Ah, Lady Gaga. God, I love her. It doesn’t matter where I go or whom I write for, she somehow manages to do something mad and become the ultimate hot topic for EVERYBODY. • 24 Hour Marathon… of Terror

If you love horror films and you have at least twenty-four hours to live, then there is absolutely nothing you should be doing more than reading (and subsequently adhering to) this itinerary. How else are you going to know what to watch at six thirty in the morning when you’ve just watched a zombie baby rip someone’s head open?

  • Film baddies we’re all secretly rooting for

Everyone loves a villain – more fun to play, watch and steal quotes from than any floppy-haired namby-pamby good guy, and usually prettier to boot. It’s such a shame they always seem to end up getting shot/stabbed/thrown off buildings/drowned/burnt by hot doorknobs (damn you, Kevin McCallister), so we thought we’d round up some of our favourites for a Who’s Who of all the bad guys that really should have won.

  • Good films for Valentine’s Day (how to trick your lover into watching one)

Are you going to be forced to watch something insipid, dreadful and probably excessively Katherine Heigl-based this Valentine’s Day? Stretching your grimacing muscles in preparation for the inevitable “run to the airport/run to the wedding/run to where they’re trying on clothes” scene? Fear not! We’ve come up with a foolproof strategy to get you watching absolute classics this V-day. Read on, oh those who fear the pink DVD box…
