Hurrah! In a world filled with re-makes, re-runs and Sex and The City 2: Pigs In The City, it’s truly glorious to remember that films such as Scott Pilgrim Vs The World are still on the horizon. And the new trailer looks, frankly, awesome-tastic.

Scott Pilgrim (directed by Edgar Wright of Hot Fuzz) follows the tribulations of a young boy enamoured with the new cool chick in town. So far, so boring rom-com. The problem is that in order to date her, he has to fight (and defeat) her seven evil ex-boyfriends. Cue video game effects (a la Tekken), mind-blowing fight visuals and Michael Cera playing that part he always plays (but this time, we don’t mind). We. Can’t Wait.

The first trailer set up this premise, leaving the second one to expand on it. We learn that Scott’s love – Ramona Flowers – works as an Amazon delivery girl, and Scott is forced to order something and wait for her to show up in order to ask her out. It also introduces Scott’s gay roommate (Kieran Culkin) who likes he might just be a bit of a scene-stealer. Watch it. Watch it now.
