This Wednesday marks the release of Rock of Ages, a film in which raspy-voiced funny man Alec Baldwin shares what is being touted as a “sensual song and a kiss” with our very own Russell Brand. In honour of this erotic occasion, BFF is taking a look back at the life, loves and career of our favourite Baldwin brother (sorry Daniel, Billy and Stephen).
Michael Keaton (very popular in the late 80s I hear) interested in returning to role that propelled him to fame.
If there’s one thing that The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo has given us (and I’m including both the Swedish original and David Fincher’s recent blockbuster when I say this) it’s a new Goth poster-girl for the 21st century. Lisbeth Salander has not only shown the world that girls with ropey piercings and Misfits haircuts are hot, it’s that they can kick ass as well.

Except, of course, that it never is. Not really.
That’s right. This year’s Cannes Film Festival is going to be presided over by Tim Burton as jury president. And we have to admit, we can’t think of many other film-makers with his level of pedigree. The man just doesn’t put a foot wrong. Ever.
There’s generally only one type of Christmas film, or at the very least, a very identifiable type of film that always seems to get a festive release, year after year…
