Despicable Me is a kids film that may not have been made by Pixar but it could have been: The story of a supervillain struggling to control an army of minions and three orphaned girls will provide real heart and sardonic wit along with the zany animation slapstick.
Zombieland comes lurching out of the same genre as that of 2004’s Shaun of the Dead, a film which set the bar for the zomcom, and it set it pretty high. Luckily, Zombieland has still got enough going for it to compare favorably with the yardstick.
Disney has revealed – via facebook of all places – that’s it’s 2010 release based on the story of Rapunzel is going to be entitled Tangled. It could spell the end of the Disney tradition of naming their films after their central character, as it seems that the studio is worried that calling the film Rapunzel would alienate boys and prevent them from wanting to see it.
It could be that one of the highest hyped films of 2010 may not be shown in the majority of cinemas in the UK, thanks to an ongoing dispute between Disney (the producer) and the big UK cinemas. What? No! No, this can’t be happening!
