Tsunami? More like Tsu-NO-mi…
Ewan McGregor is making girls cry all over the UK again in Perfect Sense, a love story set in a world of despair and doom. To celebrate our favourite Scottish hotty’s return to independent drama, we’ve decided to have a look back over his film career. Mmm. Especially The Pillow Book; there’s nothing like a bit of full frontal nudity to get us in the mood for fab film facts courtesy of the Cheat Sheet!
This Wednesday marks the release of Steven “I’m definitely going to stop being a director soon and paint pretty pictures” Soderbergh’s new film, Haywire, which stars Mixed Martial Arts champion Gina Carano. Presumably she spends the film going around beating up loads and loads of people with her martial arts skills. We literally can’t wait for that. Especially if she roundhouse kicks Ewan McGregor in the face. Anyways, to celebrate the release of this film, BFF has compiled a list of the top ten women who would kick you into next Tuesday if you tried to hold the door open for them. Enjoy!
Jim Carrey and Ewan McGregor – two great actors that have been somewhat off the radar of late. We’re glad to announced that in uniting in black comedy I Love You Phillip Morris they both show that they’re far from out for the count. But, though it’s McGregor who nabs the titular charcacter, Carrey is the one who steals the show.
Steven Spielberg’s Knockout has already been reported to feature an all-star cast. With the likes of Michael Douglas, Ewan McGregor and Dennis Quaid already signed up, we’ve now had reports that Antonio Banderas might be joining them too. Could this mark the return of Banderas in action movies?
It’s the fifth of November, which means two things: someone on your Twitter will be being precious about how Bonfire Night celebrates the state-sanctioned murder of dissidents, you’ll think about watching V for Vendetta but forget, and your dog is going to have a nervous breakdown. But religious freedom, dogs and those Anonymous masks are all shit, so why not read about people getting set on fire instead? It’s seasonal, and getting set on fire is way cooler than being honey-trapped by Natalie Portman in a tutu. Here’s our top 10 flaming film characters.
In the soon-to-hit-cinemas Thor: The Dark World, Christopher Eccleston is due to play Malekath the Accursed, Lord of the Dark Elves of Svartalfheim (let’s hope that Svartalfheim has a north). In honour of this completely mad choice of villain, we’re heading into the Marvel vaults to find ten bad guys even more deserving of a starring role in the new films.
