Unconfirmed rumours in El Pais suggest that yesterday saw the birth of Penélope Cruz and Javier Bardem’s first child just six months after their wedding – and on the same day as its father received his third Oscar nomination for Biutiful.

There’s no word yet on name, gender or anything else of interest, but that hasn’t stopped us being incoherently excited; we love babies, we do. And we suspect that Baby Bardem-Cruz will not only be prettier than Flynn KerrBloom, s/he will also be able to act. 2-1 to Javier and Penélope!
