Daniel Radcliffe turns Amateur Photographer

Oh isn’t he a busy lad? Having finally satiated Harry Potter monster, Daniel Radcliffe barely paused for breath before plunging himself into a starring role in The Woman In Black, then headed off to Broadway to tread the boards in How To Succeed In Business Without Really Trying. Today he’s announced that his next move will be into the world of comedy, starring in Christopher Monger’s adaptation of his own novel – Amateur Photographer.

The story centres on a young chap living in 1970s New England who, for some reason, is asked by the local residents to capture the more intimate moments of their lives. Cue… hilarity? That’s all we know for now, but it will be genuinely interesting to see if Radcliffe can pull out a comic performance. His turn in Extras was wonderful, but that was more due to Gervais’s horribly brilliant script than talent on Radcliffe’s part. Reckon he’s up to the challenge? Watch this space…
