Deathly Hallows split point revealed

Warner Brothers has revealed the point in the Harry Potter saga at which the seventh film will end. The mammoth final instalment in the series, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, is being divided into two films to be released eight months apart.

Here be spoilers! Continue at your own risk…

The split will occur around 24 chapters through the book, which is 36 chapters long in total.

It will show Lord Voldemort (Ralph Fiennes) ransacking the tomb of Professor Dumbledore (Sir Michael Gambon) in his hunt for the Elder Wand, the most powerful magical weapon in the wizarding world. Best For Film is willing to bet that the film’s going to end on a shot of creepily noseless Voldy brandishing the wand aloft (possibly cackling, although it doesn’t seem his style) whilst Harry’s posse messes their collective robes. We might take a green laser pen to the screening so we can get all Avada Kedavra on people before the credits roll; should be good.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows is out on the 19th of November. See you there!
