Henry Cavill is the Man of Steel
Warner Bros. and Legendary Pictures have made the announcement that the new Superman film Man of Steel has cast its caped hero: Henry Cavill (The Tudors, Stardust). Zack Snyder, the director of the upcoming reboot (we tried to count the number of boots Superman has had and ran out of fingers) sounded more than a touch excited about the whole project: “In the pantheon of superheroes, Superman is the most recognized and revered character of all time, and I am honoured to be a part of his return to the big screen. I also join Warner Bros., Legendary and the producers in saying how excited we are about the casting of Henry.”
With a script by David Goyer (Batman Begins, Dark Knight, Blade Trinity) and Christopher Nolan on-board as producer, it looks like DC Comic’s man in blue might be getting the same treatment that the man in black received. We’re excited.
