It’s that time of the week again where we try and think of something to bicker about late this Friday afternoon. What is it this week? Well, you have to accept it though you might not believe it – Harry Potter! It appears that SOME people don’t think it’s worth the time of day, while others (ok, most) think it’s the best thing since sliced bread. Ready, steady, DUEL!
Ssh, nobody mention how much better Saoirse is!
Ah, Tim Burton. It seems everyone’s got an opinion on the pseudo-gothic king of whimsical romantic fantasy – whether you worship his early work and abominate Alice in Wonderland, prefer his more straightforward films (Planet of the Apes, anyone?) or just want to see more dead women getting married, it’s hard to stay neutral. In doing so, he has categorically made the best film of both his own and Colin Firth’s career. The King’s Speech is perfect.
Colin Firth must be stammering with joy this morning after his latest film The King’s Speech picked up an extraordinary five British Independent Film Awards.
The King’s Speech, the George VI biopic starring Colin Firth, has picked up a healthy 8 nominations for this year’s British Independent Film Awards.
