So it’s official; Anne Hathway will definitely be taking on the role of Fantine in the upcoming film version of Les Misérables. Natalie Portman’s shiny new Academy Award is going to reflect an awful lot of spotlights on her over the next few years. This should be fine, of course, but it’s not ideal when the project currently in the post-Oscar glare is a distinctly average drama which she made before Black Swan and which has only just crept onto DVD. The only impossibility in Love and Other Impossible Pursuits is enjoying it.

It’s Wednesday! Films exist! We’re all poor! You know someone on Orange? You know someone on Orange! We take some time out of our busy schedules (looking at Wyld Stallyns t-shirts on PriceDrop TV) to discuss what you should and shouldn’t see on this, this Wednesday, this holy night. Please do join in.
Jake Gyllenhaal and Anne Hathaway star in this refreshingly good romantic comedy drama. With commendable performances from both leads and a great supporting cast, Love and Other Drugs is a sexy and unconventional take on love and relationships.
