The flying swordspeople are back!
With news from Harvard that we may soon be cloning an authentic Neanderthal (if the scientists can find ‘an enthusiastic female’ to impregnate), we got to thinking about films that have featured clones over the years. The list below should be a top ten, but has become a Top 10 + 2, presumably because a process of cloning clone films and unintentionally breeding new ones has also been occurring without our knowledge. The Wee Man is written and directed by Ray Burdis, whose previous directorial offering Love, Honour and Obey featured gangsters in London; now we are removed to Glasgow. Based on an account of his time in the Scottish city’s underworld, the film gives us the rise and fall of Paul Ferris, the notorious ‘Wee Man’ of the title. Expect violence, crime and formula all the way.
