  • Fun Size

Hovering somewhere between a teenage sex-romp comedy and Clarissa Explains it All lies Fun Size, an awkward, inoffensive and ultimately meandering tale attempting to target the abandoned 12-14 y/o market. This film lingers and loiters like a greasy teenager at the mall, and is about as appealing to anyone who is not themselves a greasy teenager.

  • Top 10 Presidents in Film

You know who’s great? President Barack Obama. Not only is he unsettlingly charismatic he has also just declared (finally) that he is in favour of same sex marriage, effectively kicking all his Republican opponents in their rigidly conservative/homophobic nuts. TAKE THAT TO YO’ TEA PARTY, NEWT. In honour of this momentous occasion (and also to herald the almost release of this gem), BFF brings you the Top Ten list of movie presidents (both fictional and non-fictional for double the pleasure!).

  • TGIM! The Tricycle Goes Nuclear Film Festival

Monday morning and already sick of the week? Sitting rigid in your cubicle/ coffin making money for an employer who hates you? Staring dead-eyed into the coldness of the computer screen willing the date on the calender forward towards the next opportunity to drink yourself into a blackout? Well here’s something to cheer you up: NUCLEAR APOCALYPSE!

There’s going to be a Doctor Who movie materialising in cinemas soon, most likely with that weird whoooshing sound effect. • Top 10 Possible Plotlines of the LEGO Film

So it looks like they’re making a LEGO film. And by “they” we mean the crazy people in Hollywood who want all the money but their brains don’t work any more because they replaced their brains with sushi and velvet yachts and cynicism so they think money can come from a film about inanimate bricks. WHAT COULD THIS FILM POSSIBLY BE ABOUT?!?! Luckily for you, Hollywood fat cats, BFF have compiled a list of LEGO-inspired films to make the process a bit easier for you. Enjoy!

  • The Best Harry Potter Scenes That Were Never Filmed

As the Harry Potter novels devoured increasing chunks of woodland in its pursuit of pages, the film series somehow managed to rein itself in despite the books’ increasingly labyrinthine plot arcs. In an attempt to highlight the best scenes lost in translation (that is, not even filmed as DVD extras), here is a (potentially spoilerific) list of moments you might have missed.

  • Friday Drinking Game #9 – The Lord Of The Rings

Guess what?! Seven days have gone by since your last film related paralytic coma and now it’s time for another! Yay! If you haven’t quite recovered yet don’t worry, there’s nothing like the old hair of the dog to make your liver go numb and completely forget it’s working overtime to try and fix the damage you did to it one week ago. Sit back bottle in hand (don’t bother finding a glass, you won’t be needing it) enjoy a good ol’ flick, then lose any memory of ever watching it.

  • 10 worst comic book adaptations ever

The humble comic book has given us some of the most iconic characters of the past century: caped-crusaders, garish Amazonian princesses, angst ridden mutants and radioactive people of all varieties have infiltrated the popular culture. But sadly not all adaptations quite live up to their two dimensional counterparts, and today we sort the wheat from the needlessly scanty PVC. Be aware that I had to re-watch a lot of these before writing this; I suffer for my work.
