Hovering somewhere between a teenage sex-romp comedy and Clarissa Explains it All lies Fun Size, an awkward, inoffensive and ultimately meandering tale attempting to target the abandoned 12-14 y/o market. This film lingers and loiters like a greasy teenager at the mall, and is about as appealing to anyone who is not themselves a greasy teenager.

You know who’s great? President Barack Obama. Not only is he unsettlingly charismatic he has also just declared (finally) that he is in favour of same sex marriage, effectively kicking all his Republican opponents in their rigidly conservative/homophobic nuts. And by “they” we mean the crazy people in Hollywood who want all the money but their brains don’t work any more because they replaced their brains with sushi and velvet yachts and cynicism so they think money can come from a film about inanimate bricks. As the Harry Potter novels devoured increasing chunks of woodland in its pursuit of pages, the film series somehow managed to rein itself in despite the books’ increasingly labyrinthine plot arcs. In an attempt to highlight the best scenes lost in translation (that is, not even filmed as DVD extras), here is a (potentially spoilerific) list of moments you might have missed.
