You never see a hard-working chair in the Hollywood credits, do you? Never doffed your cap to a really brilliant curtain, or a staggeringly talented knife? We celebrate the unsung heroes of the cinematic world: the inanimate objects that made their films iconic.

Vince Vaughn used to be a comedy god- up there with Ben Stiller, more marketable than Will Ferrell, less cheesy than Owen Wilson. But lately, we have realised that he is less comedy hits, more comedy misses and much less likeable on screen. Whatever has happened to everyone’s favourite funny man? We look at the rise and oh so calamitous fall of this fast talking, wedding crashing comedy supremo.

With this summer’s spectacularly bad Grown Ups and Dinner for Schmucks still fresh in our memories, we could be forgiven for writing off the US comedy machine for this summer. Happily, The Other Guys has gone some way to redressing the balance with a fresh and funny take on the ‘buddy cop’ motif that’s well worth a watch.

Whether the news makes you want to rejoice or reach for the scotch, it looks like Anchorman 2 is becoming an unstoppable force – with most of the original cast ready to jump back aboard.

It has been reported that the long awaited Anchorman 2 is due to start production with all the familiar cast members from the first hit flick. Its about time for..
