If* we ever build a time machine, Adam, we’re going back to 1966 to kick your mum in the stomach. *When
It’s almost impressive, the way Nic Cage can go on relentlessly lowering the standard of his output the way he does. If you thought National Treasure: Book of Secrets was as bad as it was going to get, you still had Season of the Witch to look forward to. And then Trespass. And now Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance, in which FRANCIS FORD COPPOLA’S NEPHEW MANAGES TO MAKE A FLAMING SKELETON BORING.
Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance is right around the corner and no-one is excited. Seeing as this will be yet another inevitably awful Nicolas Cage film, we’re trying to remind ourselves that he’s not always been that bad…
With Nicholas Cage galloping back onto the screen for the long awaited (ahem) sequel to Ghost Rider this week, what better way to celebrate than with a high speed, booze fuelled marathon of motorbike classics? So, grab your buddies, a dangerous amount of alcohol and a fistful of biker flicks and get ready to lose the next six hours of your life riding the highway to a serious blackout.
It’s Saturday morning – you’d planned to get up early and make the most of the day, but instead you hid under the covers until quarter to eleven like a shut-in with a passion for snuggliness. You’re such a failure. But never mind – if you’re not going to experience the world first-hand, you can just catch up on the best of the week’s movie news with our regular round-up!
He may be joking, but we hope he isn’t.
This Wednesday marks the release of Steven “I’m definitely going to stop being a director soon and paint pretty pictures” Soderbergh’s new film, Haywire, which stars Mixed Martial Arts champion Gina Carano. Presumably she spends the film going around beating up loads and loads of people with her martial arts skills. We literally can’t wait for that. Especially if she roundhouse kicks Ewan McGregor in the face. Anyways, to celebrate the release of this film, BFF has compiled a list of the top ten women who would kick you into next Tuesday if you tried to hold the door open for them. Enjoy!
You know what’s great about actors? Sometimes they make a really good film. Then again, sometimes they make a really bad film. And sometimes, just sometimes, the same actor does both within a remarkably short space of time. Join us as we count down the ten actors who’ve flipped the classic/flop switch with incredible speed.
Nicolas Cage was apparently so ashamed of Trespass that he refused to watch the final product. Nicolas Cage, of The Sorcerer’s Apprentice, of Season Of The Witch, of National Treasure: Book Of Secrets, of The Wicker Man was too ashamed of his film Trespass to watch it. I’ll let that sink in.
