We review a lot of films. You’ve probably noticed. But this is the first time that we’ve reviewed a film which had BFFers starring in it, BFFers helping write it..
In a frankly inspired bit of outreach work, the Royal Observatory Greenwich is planning to punctuate this summer with a series of classic sci-fi screenings accompanied by talks from REAL SCIENTISTS. Like, alien experts and that. Seriously, when did you last hear an idea this good (apart from Best For Film Presents…, that is)? We’ll be hitting this week’s screening of War of the Worlds, and we’ll expect to see you there.
The very first BFF Presents… is less than a month away – and you’re invited! Join us on July 9th for an evening of murder, mayhem and tombolas as we lift the lid on everything from how to get published to whether BFF writers can drink more than normal people (we definitely can).
In our newest feature, we’re arbitrarily looking back over the entire history of Hollywood one year and one genre at a time.Want to talk about your favourite five sci-fi films of 1992, or the top horrors of 2004? Get in touch at [email protected] now!
The anomaly here is this: who on earth is Luke Hemsworth?
It’s our fourth Back in Vue feature, and this time you can do more than just read about it – Vue’s cult cinema season continues tonight (29th May, time-travellers), with Danny Boyle’s Trainspotting showing nationwide. This week it’s John’s turn to make the case for his absolute favourite film about heroin, toilets and getting toxoplasmosis from cat mess.
This just keeps getting better and better. Unlike the career prospects of Banquo’s son.
