  • Seth McFarlane comedy film in works – Hollywood watch out!

    Having conquered the small screen, it seems that Family Guy creator Seth McFarlane has turned his attention to the big screen with his upcoming debut movie, Ted. Described as a “Hard R” comedy about a man and his teddy bear (yes ladies and gentlemen, you read that right), Ted is rumoured to be a live-action meets CGI movie in the vein of Alvin and the Chipmunks (except miles, miles better of course).


  • Emile Hirsch and Olivia Thrilby confirmed for The Darkest Hour

    Following on from the news last week that Olivia Thrilby (Juno) had signed on for The Darkest Hour, we can confirm that Emile Hirsch (Milk) has also hopped on board. The Darkest Hour, yet another in a long line of alien invasion movies, sees a group of US tourists in Russia attempting to defeat a pack of alien invaders (how original we hear you cry!).

    The latest film outing of He-Man has been languishing in development hell for longer than it takes to trim Battle Cat’s fur, but could the addition of two new writers be the shot in the arm this project needs? The writers of the upcoming Predators movie, Alex Litvak and Mike Finch pitched an idea for the film to Sony and have been snapped up by the studio.

  • New Actresses In Line For Captain America

    Now that Fantastic Four star Chris Evans has been confirmed to play the Captain himself, the hunt is on to find an actress to play his love interest, Peggy Carter, in the upcoming Captain America film. The latest news from Hollywood is that it’s likely to be one of two British actresses: Alice Eve (pictured) or Hayley Atwell. Both have emerged as frontrunners during the ongoing screen testing for the part.
